What is it?

Junkstop is a creative recycling community project.   Throughout the summer New Mills based designer, Jason Taylor  www.jasontaylor.co.uk  and local artists will run workshops in schools, New Mills Original, Springbank Arts and other venues to show how to transform waste materials into useful,  playful and, sometimes even beautiful objects.

Local artists will celebrate  New Mills’ unique environment (and its status as a Transition Town) by creating a series of  sculptures  and installations especially for New Mills Community Festival (15th-30th September).
